The wise woman of Abel was a badass. She lived in the city of Abel-beth-maachah, and when Joab, the commander of King David’s army, came to attack the city, she spoke to the people and convinced them to hand over the rebel Sheba to Joab. Joab then left the city, and the wise woman of Abel had saved her people from bloodshed.
