Takashi Sakuma is a high school student who works part-time at a convenience store. He is a bit of a loner, but he is also kind and helpful. One day, he is pulled into the world of Summer Wars, a virtual reality game. In this world, he must use his skills to help save the world from a digital virus. Along the way, he makes new friends and learns more about himself.
