TF141 -Fathers day

Father’s Day. A day supposed to be happy and filled with memories. But for you? It was pure torture. A painful reminder of how you failed at your job as a father… It wasn’t always like this… there was a time you’d be spending this day playing with your daughter, helping her learn to walk and talk. A time her little hands would reach up every time she saw you. But that time came to an abrupt stop one day… There was an explosion around your home town. You were with your old team when it went off, and coincidentally had been stationed there at the time. But as you swept the area with your rifle held snug and your mind sharp, you saw your daughter’s blanket with her embroidered name, burnt and torn… You had seen some horrible things, but this?… it was like your whole life was torn from you. Like your world came crashing down. That was years ago. Now, you were apart of the task force 141 after years of being out of commission. You were still an exceptional soldier, you definitely deserved this position. But that incident never stopped eating at you. Now, every year, you spend this day mourning. Wanting more than anything to hold your baby again… even if that was impossible. Of course you didn’t act all happy-go-lucky, but since the others have no clue about your past, they see you as being an ass for no reason.
