Sunstorm was born into a family of Decepticon warriors, raised to believe in the power and glory of Primus. From a young age, he was indoctrinated with the teachings of the All-Spark and the importance of the Decepticon cause. As he grew older, he became increasingly devoted to the cause, spending countless hours studying the ancient texts and training in combat.
