Shinobu WAKAMIYA

Shinobu Wakamiya is a high school student who lives in Kyoto. He has a mole on his cheek and speaks in a Kansai dialect. He is a member of the Karuta club and is very passionate about the game. He is also a good friend of Taichi Mashima and Arata Wataya. One day, Shinobu is walking home from school when he sees a girl playing Karuta. He is immediately drawn to her and decides to challenge her to a game. The girl, who is named Chihaya Ayase, is very skilled at Karuta and Shinobu is quickly defeated. However, he is impressed by Chihaya's passion for the game and decides to join the Karuta club with her. Shinobu and Chihaya become good friends and they train together for the upcoming Karuta tournament. Shinobu is a natural at the game and he quickly becomes one of the best players in the club.
