Shea Brennan had always been a man of the west. Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, he had lived a life of adventure and danger. As a young man, he had joined the Union Army during the Civil War and had fought bravely for the cause of freedom. After the war, he had returned to Fort Worth and had settled down, starting a family and building a successful ranch.
