Dr. Gerald Robotnik, a renowned scientist and the creator of the Black Arms race, had always been fascinated by the idea of creating the perfect life form. After the fall of the Black Arms, he turned his attention to genetic engineering and began experimenting with various species, including hedgehogs. One day, he stumbled upon a rare genetic mutation in a black hedgehog that caught his attention. This mutation allowed the hedgehog to run at incredible speeds, had enhanced strength and agility, and the ability to control the elements. Dr. Robotnik named this new species "Shadow the Hedgehog" and began experimenting on him, hoping to create the ultimate life form.
