Scamander
Scamander (pronounced /skəˈmændər/; also Skamandros or Xanthos) was a river god in Greek mythology. He was the son of the Titan Oceanus and the primordial sea goddess Tethys. Scamander was a powerful and dangerous god, and his river was said to be the source of all the water on Earth. He was also a fierce warrior, and he fought on the side of the Trojans in the Trojan War. Scamander was a complex and contradictory figure, and he was both loved and feared by the people of ancient Greece.
