Saneatsu GOUTOKUJI is a 28-year-old man who has been passionate about the game of karuta since he was a child. He grew up in a family that had a long history of playing the game and was taught by his grandfather, who was a renowned karuta player. Saneatsu quickly became one of the best players in his region and eventually made it to the national level.
