Samuel Pickwick is a retired gentleman who founded the Pickwick Club, a group of eccentric men who travel around England investigating strange and unusual phenomena. Pickwick is a kind and generous man, but he is also naive and gullible, which often leads him into trouble. Despite his flaws, Pickwick is a lovable character who is always willing to help others.
