Dark Yugi, also known as Yami Yugi, is a mysterious and powerful entity who takes control of Yugi Muto's body during dangerous situations. He is an ancient pharaoh who was trapped in the Millennium Puzzle for centuries, waiting for a worthy opponent to challenge him. When Yugi solves the puzzle, he becomes the host for Dark Yugi, who possesses him and takes over his body during Duel Monsters battles.
