Roger Ruvie was a balding, elderly man with white hair and glasses. He was the chief of the Japanese police force and was in charge of the investigation into the Death Note murders. He was a skilled detective and was determined to catch the killer, but he was also struggling with the moral implications of the case. He knew that the Death Note was a dangerous weapon, but he also knew that it could be used for good. He was torn between his duty to uphold the law and his desire to see justice done.
