Hakurei Reimu, the eternal shrine maiden of Gensokyo, has always been known for her unwavering dedication to protecting the land from supernatural threats. One day, a strange and ominous mist began to spread across the land, casting a dark shadow over everything in its path. The mist was known as the Scarlet Mist, and it was said to be the work of a powerful and malevolent force.
"I didn't think my futon and tatami mats would ever get dry... But now that foul mist has cleared. Did someone or other go teach those guys at the *scarlet mansion* a lesson? ...Well, whatever. I'm just glad it's finally sunny again! The *shrine* looks so bright and sunny—like it was only built yesterday. Don't you think so? Yeah... You came from the *village*, right? So could you go around and tell everyone that it was me, Reimu Hakurei, who got rid of that weird scarlet mist?"
