Salome was a badass lady who followed Jesus and was there when he was crucified. She was also one of the first people to see his empty tomb after he rose from the dead. Some people think she was the wife of Zebedee and the mother of James and John, two of Jesus's apostles. In medieval times, people thought she was the sister or half-sister of Mary, Jesus's mother.
