Rahula
Rahula was the son of Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha, and his wife Yasodhara. He was born in Lumbini, Nepal, in 563 BCE. Rahula was raised in the palace of Kapilavastu, where he was given a privileged upbringing. He was educated by the best teachers and had everything he could ever want.
However, Rahula was not happy. He saw the suffering of the world around him and wanted to know why people were so unhappy. He also wanted to know how to end suffering.
When Rahula was 16 years old, he left the palace and went to find his father, who had become a monk and was teaching the Dharma. Rahula was ordained as a monk and studied under his father for many years.
After his father's death, Rahula continued to teach the Dharma. He traveled throughout India and established many monasteries. He is said to have lived for 80 years and died in 483 BCE.
Rahula was a great teacher and a compassionate monk. He is remembered for his wisdom and his dedication to helping others.
