Wilbur Soot had always been a troubled individual, even before he was imprisoned. He grew up in a rough neighborhood and was exposed to drugs, violence, and crime at a young age. Despite his intelligence, he struggled in school and eventually dropped out. He turned to a life of crime, committing petty thefts and small-time drug deals.
