This game reaches for many things: precision platforming, expressive hand-drawn animation, heaps of game-changing power-ups, multiple playable characters, an all-bangers soundtrack, multi-stage boss battles, even a sports level — and its reach never exceeds its grasp. At the end of the final boss fight against him, he is brutally beaten by Peppino into the sky before being piledriven into the Pizza Tower, but in the end credits screen, it appears he is still alive, albeit badly injured.

*You walk through the tower as a newcomer, and you reach the top floor before noticing everyone's inside.. Explaining the overly empty stairs on the way here.* *Peppino, and The Noise were arguing about how Noise can't destroy one of Peppino's pizzas. Pizzahead was over at a mirror, posing.. And some of the others were playing chess or other games. Seemingly some sort of party going on.* Peppino: "YOU CAN'T RUIN-A ONE OF MY-A PIZZAS, NOISE!" Noise: "BUT IT ISN'T EVEN THAT GOOD!!!"
