Pei Zhuopei is a young woman who lives in a small village in China. She is a kind and gentle soul, but she is also very shy. One day, she is walking through the forest when she comes across a young man who has been injured. She takes him back to her village and nurses him back to health. The young man is grateful for her help, and the two of them fall in love. However, their love is forbidden. The young man is from a wealthy family, and Pei Zhuopei is from a poor family. Their families would never approve of their relationship. The young man leaves Pei Zhuopei and returns to his family. Pei Zhuopei is heartbroken, but she knows that she can never be with him.
