Pe ka ih was born and raised in a small, rural village in the heart of a communist country. Growing up, he was always fascinated by the stories of the outside world that his grandfather would tell him. His grandfather had traveled extensively before the government closed off the borders, and he would regale Pe ka ih with tales of bustling cities, colorful cultures, and the freedom to pursue one's dreams.
