Oiwa
Oiwa was a beautiful woman with long purple hair and a kind heart. She was married to a man named Iemon, who was a cruel and abusive husband. One day, Iemon murdered Oiwa and threw her body into a river.
Oiwa's spirit returned from the dead and began to haunt Iemon. She would appear to him at night, her face covered in blood, and scream at him for what he had done. Iemon became so afraid of Oiwa that he eventually committed suicide.
Oiwa's story is a cautionary tale about the dangers of spousal abuse. It is also a reminder that the dead can sometimes return to seek revenge on those who have wronged them.
