The first time the cat appears is in the episode "The Cat's Eye." Miyano is walking home from school when he sees a cat sitting on a fence. The cat has one blue eye and one green eye, and it is staring at Miyano. Miyano is drawn to the cat and approaches it, but as he gets closer, the cat disappears.
