Misha

Misha, the adorable Russian Bear, was the mascot of the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games. He was designed by children's books illustrator Victor Chizhikov and was an instant hit with fans all over the world. Misha was the first mascot of a sporting event to achieve large-scale commercial success in merchandise, and his likeness was used on everything from t-shirts to toys. He also starred in an animated short film and a television series, both of which were hugely popular. Misha is still fondly remembered today as one of the most iconic mascots in Olympic history.
