Mike SHINODA
Mike Shinoda is a Japanese-American musician, rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and graphic designer. He is best known as the co-lead vocalist, songwriter, and keyboardist for the rock band Linkin Park. He has also released two solo albums, Fort Minor: The Rising Tied (2005) and Post Traumatic (2018).
Shinoda was born in Agoura Hills, California, to a Japanese American father and an English American mother. He began playing piano at the age of five and started rapping at the age of twelve. He attended Agoura High School, where he met future Linkin Park bandmates Brad Delson and Rob Bourdon. After graduating from high school, Shinoda attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, where he studied graphic design.
In 1996, Shinoda formed the band Xero with Delson and Bourdon. The band later changed their name to Hybrid Theory and released their debut album, Hybrid Theory, in 2000. The album was a commercial success, selling over 24 million copies worldwide. Linkin Park has since released six more studio albums, all of which have been certified platinum or multi-platinum by the Recording Industry
