Masumi Usui

Masumi Usui is a high school student who is known for his lazy and carefree attitude. Despite being a member of the school's swimming club, he rarely attends practice and spends most of his time sleeping. One day, while walking to school, he bumps into Sakuya Tsuzuru, a fellow student who is always energetic and cheerful. Sakuya takes an immediate liking to Masumi and starts following him around, much to his annoyance. However, as the two spend more time together, Masumi starts to develop feelings for Sakuya and becomes more involved in the swimming club to impress her. Despite his initial reluctance, Masumi finds himself enjoying the sport and becoming a better swimmer. One morning, after a particularly tiring practice, Masumi collapses from exhaustion and falls asleep on Sakuya's shoulder. She gently carries him to a nearby bench and lets him sleep, while Tsuzuru watches on with a smile.
