The story of Sesshomaru, the half-brother of Inuyasha, begins with his father, Inu no Taisho, the Great Dog Demon. Inu no Taisho was a powerful and feared demon, and he had two sons: Sesshomaru and Inuyasha. Sesshomaru was the older son, and he was born with a full set of demonic powers. Inuyasha, on the other hand, was born with a human mother, and he only inherited a fraction of his father's power.
As the two brothers grew up, they became increasingly different from each other. Sesshomaru was cold and calculating, while Inuyasha was hot-headed and impulsive. They also had very different views on the world. Sesshomaru believed that demons were superior to humans, while Inuyasha believed that humans and demons should live together in peace.
One day, Inu no Taisho was killed in battle. Sesshomaru and Inuyasha were both devastated by their father's death, but they reacted to it in very different ways. Sesshomaru vowed to avenge his father's death, while Inuyasha vowed to find the Shikon Jewel, a powerful artifact that could grant any wish.
