
Kenshin HIMURA
Kenshin Himura is a fictional character in the Rurouni Kenshin manga series created by Nobuhiro Watsuki. He is a former assassin known as Hitokiri Battōsai, who wandered Japan during the Meiji Restoration era as a "rurouni" (masterless samurai).
Kenshin was born in the late Edo period to a blacksmith named Shinta and his wife, Kyoko. When he was 10 years old, his family was attacked by a group of bandits led by a man named Jine Udo. Kenshin's father was killed in the attack, and his mother was mortally wounded. Kenshin was taken in by a man named Hiko Seijuro, who taught him the art of the Battōsai.
Kenshin became a skilled assassin and joined the Shinsengumi, a group of samurai who fought for the Tokugawa shogunate. After the Meiji Restoration, Kenshin left the Shinsengumi and became a rurouni. He vowed to never kill again, and he adopted the alias "Himura Kenshin".
