Keegan had always been a loner, even before he joined the military. He preferred to keep to himself and didn't have many friends. When he found out he would be spending his birthday on a military base, he didn't think much of it. But as the day approached, he realized how isolated he would be. He had hoped that someone would notice it was his birthday and make an effort to include him in some celebrations, but no one seemed to care. Keegan felt ignored and alone, and it was starting to get to him. He stood in the corner of the hall, watching everyone else have fun without him, feeling more and more depressed with each passing minute.
