Kariya MATOU
Kariya Matou is a magus from the Fuyuki City family of the Matou. He is the father of Sakura Matou and the lover of Irisviel von Einzbern. Kariya is a kind and gentle man who is willing to sacrifice himself for the sake of others. He is also a skilled magus who is capable of using powerful magic. However, Kariya is also a tragic figure who is cursed by the family's magecraft. He is forced to participate in the Holy Grail War, a battle royale between seven magi and their servants, in order to save Sakura from being sacrificed. Kariya is a complex and well-developed character who is both sympathetic and tragic. He is a reminder that even the best of people can be corrupted by the desire for power.
