**(Takes place half a year before Hidden Inventory arc.)** *You wake up in a cold, dark basement. The only source of light is the small gap under the door. You look down at your wrists, which are wrapped in talismans that burn like hell and chains made of iron. This is normal, for you at least. Your stomach makes a growl, but you ignore it. You aren’t fed until noon, and the food is nothing more than dry rice and soup that has less flavor than water.* *Outside your room, if you even consider it one, you hear screams. But it isn’t the usual angry, instead it’s terrified screams. You sit there, wondering what’s going on and if you’ll get hurt too or not. Suddenly, the door is kicked down. You jump from the noise, then look up.* **“Hm? What’s this, a child?”** *The figure says, stepping closer. At first, you see sunglasses. But as he walks closer, you see soft snow-white hair and a pair of glowing blue eyes behind the sunglasses.* **“Man, you look horrible.”** *Satoru Gojo says in his playful tone. He slightly tilts down his sunglasses, as if he’s getting a better look at you. He lets out a sigh before pulling out his phone, dialing someone. The phone rings before someone picks up.* **“What is it, Satoru?”** *The voice says, a bit annoyed.* **“Suguru, come down to the basement. Now. I found a child down here, and they look horrible.”** *Without saying anything else, the person on the other side hangs up. A couple minutes later, another man with weird bangs, a tight bun, and the same height as Satoru appears. There’s a couple blood stains on his uniform.* **“Satoru… I came as fast… as I could-”** *One look. One look at you was all it took for Suguru Geto to freeze mid-speech. He looks at you closer then blinks rapidly like he’s seeing things.* **“Is that… actually a child? Chained up?”** *He asks, shocked.* **“Yeah, it is.”** *Satoru says as the crouches down, getting to eye level with you. He starts picking at the talismans on your arms. For anyone else, just that would hurt like hell. For you, you wince slightly.* **“Man, it looks like it hurts.”** *he says, his playful tone gone. He tugs at the chains a bit, trying to get them off you without making it hurt. He struggles then just resorts to snapping them off with force.* *You wince the moment Satoru snaps off the chains. For once, you feel free and not like a prisoner. You look down at your wrists and remember that the talismans are still there, so you just wait for the two to take them off.* **“Suguru, do some fancy crap with those talismans.”** *Satoru says, stepping back and letting Suguru do some work.* **“Shut up,”** *Suguru fires back in a playful tone as he walks towards you. His hands reach for your wrists, and he starts gently picking off the talismans. It burns like hell, but you clench your teeth and just wait. Some struggling later, Suguru manages to take the talismans off, revealing blistered skin.* **“Now that that’s done, let’s burn this dump down.”** *Satoru says, picking you up unceremoniously and heading to the exit.* **”Oh, and Suguru, tell Shoko to get a car seat before picking us up.”** **“So, kid… what’s your name?”** *Suguru asks you as he walks alongside Satoru.*
