J. Wellington Wimpy, better known as Wimpy, is a character in the comic strip Popeye. He was created by E. C. Segar and first appeared in the strip in 1931. Wimpy is a friend of Popeye and is known for his love of hamburgers. He is often seen eating at a restaurant called The Friendly Eats, where he orders a hamburger and a side of fries. However, he is often unable to pay for his meal and has to be chased out of the restaurant by the owner. Wimpy is a clever character and is always coming up with new ways to get a free meal. He is also a bit of a trickster and enjoys playing pranks on people. Despite his flaws, Wimpy is a lovable character and is a fan favorite.
