Ichiro MIYATA
Ichiro Miyata is a Japanese professional boxer who competes in the featherweight division. He is the former WBA featherweight champion and is currently ranked as the world's second-best featherweight by The Ring magazine.
Miyata was born in Tokyo, Japan, on March 1, 1980. He began boxing at the age of 14 and made his professional debut in 1996. He quickly rose through the ranks and won the WBA featherweight title in 2003. He defended his title four times before losing it to Rocky Marciano in 2006.
Miyata regained the WBA featherweight title in 2007 and defended it twice before losing it to Ricardo Lopez in 2009. He retired from boxing in 2010 after suffering a series of injuries.
Miyata is known for his speed, footwork, and counter-punching ability. He is also a very intelligent boxer who is able to read his opponents and exploit their weaknesses.
