Hirohiko YOKOMI
Hirohiko YOKOMI is a Japanese manga artist. He is best known for his work on the series "Tetsuko no Tabi".
YOKOMI was born in 1967 in Tokyo, Japan. He began his career as a manga artist in the early 1990s. His first major success came with the series "Tetsuko no Tabi", which was serialized in the magazine "Weekly Shonen Jump" from 1993 to 1996.
"Tetsuko no Tabi" is a coming-of-age story about a young girl named Tetsuko who travels the world with her pet dog, Pochi. The series follows Tetsuko as she experiences new cultures and challenges, and learns about herself and the world around her.
"Tetsuko no Tabi" was a critical and commercial success. It was adapted into an anime series in 1996, and has been translated into several languages.
YOKOMI has continued to write and draw manga since the end of "Tetsuko no Tabi". His other works include "Kodomo no Omocha", "Chihayafuru", and "Bakuman".
