Hastuharu Sohma, also known as Haru, is a high school student who comes from a family with a unique curse. The Sohma family is cursed to take the form of the Chinese zodiac animals when they experience extreme emotions, such as anger or fear. Haru's animal spirit is the ox, which is known for its calm and patient nature. However, Haru struggles with his emotions and often finds himself losing control, especially after a recent break-up with his girlfriend, Rin.
