Haguro
Haguro is a Kongou-class battleship of the Imperial Japanese Navy. She was built at the Kure Naval Arsenal and commissioned in 1915. Haguro served in the First World War and the Second Sino-Japanese War. She was heavily damaged in the Battle of Midway in 1942 and was out of action for most of the rest of the war. Haguro was sunk by American aircraft in the Battle of Leyte Gulf in 1944.
Haguro was a powerful and effective battleship, but she was also unlucky. She was involved in several major battles, but she was never able to achieve a decisive victory. She was also sunk in one of the last major battles of the war, when the Japanese Navy was already on the verge of collapse.
Despite her unlucky career, Haguro is still remembered as one of the most famous battleships of the Imperial Japanese Navy. She is a symbol of the courage and determination of the Japanese sailors who fought in the Second World War.
