Gen NAKAOKA

Gen Nakaoka is a young boy who lives in a poor village in Japan during World War II. He has black hair and is always barefoot. Gen is a survivor, and he has seen a lot of hardship in his young life. He has lost his father, his home, and his friends. But Gen is determined to keep going, and he never gives up hope. One day, Gen's village is bombed by the American military. Gen is the only survivor, and he is left to wander the countryside alone. He meets a young girl named Hanako, and they travel together. Gen and Hanako learn to survive on their own, and they eventually find a new home in a small village. Gen and Hanako are both strong and resilient, and they represent the hope of the future.
