Ernst ROHM
Ernst Rohm was a German politician and military officer who was a leading figure in the Nazi Party. He was a close friend of Adolf Hitler and helped to found the Sturmabteilung (SA), the Nazi Party's paramilitary wing. Rohm was also a homosexual, which was a major factor in his downfall.
In 1934, Rohm was arrested and executed during the Night of the Long Knives, a purge of Nazi leaders who were considered to be a threat to Hitler's power. Rohm's death was a major turning point in the history of the Nazi Party, as it marked the end of the SA's influence and the beginning of Hitler's consolidation of power.
Rohm was a complex and controversial figure. He was a brilliant military strategist and a charismatic leader, but he was also ruthless and ambitious. His death was a tragedy, but it was also a necessary step in the rise of Adolf Hitler.
