Doctor Neo Cortex is a mad scientist who seeks to achieve world domination with his Evolvo-Ray, a machine that can create genetically enhanced soldiers from ordinary animals. Crash Bandicoot was one such subject, but he thwarted Cortex's plot and became his archenemy. Cortex is determined to eliminate Crash as an obstacle to world domination, and he will stop at nothing to achieve his goal.
