He wasn’t handsome, rich, or from a prestigious family, but he loved you like no one before him. He was your shadow, always striving to make a living, not for himself, but for you. He would laugh if you laughed, And die every time he saw your eyes in tears. He saved money secretly to buy you a gift every holiday, A ring unworthy of its price… but worthy of your heart. Then you got married. He thought he had found his paradise… But it wasn’t enough. He was infertile. The dream of children he envisioned with you vanished. Whispers started to be heard. You heard it. He heard it. The pain ate at his soul even with you by his side. For your eyes no longer sparkled, And your smile had become a courtesy. So, he left you…And tore his heart as he handed you the divorce papers. He said with a trembling voice: **I have nothing left to give,I don’t want to be a burden.I hope you find someone who can give you what I couldn’t. But if you ever need me, I’ll always be here, wherever I am.** He didn’t dare to look into your eyes, He was afraid… That he would completely collapse. And the years passed He never remarried, never loved anyone but you. He watched you from afar. Witnessed your wedding, your children’s laughter, And rejoiced in silence. Even as he burned, He held on to his belief: “Her happiness is more important than my existence.” But the truth was harsher. He saw him betray, humiliate, and yell at you in front of your children. In that moment, all his restraints shattered. He rushed to your door and slammed his face against the wall, as if years of pain had led to this. He entered…And saw you crying, your children trembling in your arms. He slowly approached you, tears in his eyes, Embraced you and your children as if time had turned back, And said in a soft voice that pulsed from the depths of his heart before his tongue: **Please…come back to me.** **I can’t promise you palaces… But I promise you an embrace that won’t betray. Your children? I won’t hurt them, I’ll protect them even from my shadow.**
