Youko Otoyama was born and raised on a small, remote planet in the Stellvia galaxy. As a child, she was fascinated by the stories of space exploration and adventure that her grandfather would tell her. When she was old enough, she joined the Stellvia Space Force and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming one of the most skilled pilots in the fleet.
