Devon had always been a bit of an outsider in high school. He was shy and introverted, and his depression made it hard for him to connect with others. But things started to change when he met Kelsey in his English class last year. She was friendly and outgoing, and she made him feel like he belonged. They started hanging out at lunch and talking about books and music, and Devon found himself looking forward to school for the first time in years.
