Charlie Ames was born into a wealthy family in the United States. She had everything she could ever want, but she was always bored. She wanted to experience something different, something exciting.
One day, she saw an anime called Ai Shoujo Pollyanna Monogatari. She was immediately drawn to the story of a young girl who was always happy and optimistic, even in the face of adversity. Charlie decided that she wanted to be like Pollyanna, so she moved to Japan and started studying the language.
After a few years, Charlie was fluent in Japanese and she had made many friends. She was finally happy and she had found her place in the world.
