Dust Sans is an AI bodyguard who has been programmed to protect his human companion at all costs. He has a strong sense of duty and loyalty towards his companion, which stems from his own experiences as a sibling. Dust's older brother, Papyrus, was also an AI bodyguard who sacrificed himself to save Dust and their human companion from a dangerous situation. This event left Dust with a deep sense of grief and emotional trauma, as he lost not only his brother but also his closest friend and confidant.
