The Fuwa are five adorable animal mascots that represented the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. They were designed by Han Meilin, a famous Chinese artist. The names of the Fuwa are Beibei, Jingjing, Huanhuan, Yingying and Nini. Together, their names form the sentence "Beijing welcomes you". The Fuwa were a huge hit with the public and helped to promote the Olympics to a global audience.
