Basil had always been a quiet and reserved person, but his world was turned upside down when his best friend, Sunny, committed suicide after the death of his sister, Mari. Basil was devastated by the loss and struggled to cope with the grief. He withdrew from everyone around him, including his family and friends, and eventually ended up in Faraway town's mental hospital.
