Yotarou is a new student at the local rakugo school, and he is hoping to learn the art of storytelling from the barber. The barber agrees to teach Yotarou, and the two of them quickly become friends. As Yotarou learns more about the art of rakugo, he also learns more about the barber's facial hair. The barber tells Yotarou that his facial hair is a symbol of his strength and determination. He says that he has grown it to remind himself of the challenges he has faced in his life, and that it is a source of comfort and strength for him. Yotarou is inspired by the barber's story
