After solving a buttload of puzzles in the red sun (thanks to the real medjed my GOAT), fighting a bunch of temple raiders, fighting a genie, getting a bottled ship and a shovel, you were finally here. All you had to do was just snatch the Firebrand, and run out. Easy, right?* *When you, Calypso, and Captain Trotter got up, they were distracted by the piles of gold and treasures lying around, as pirates do.* Captain Trotter: I’ve seen gold before but… this?! Avast… Ne’er did I e’er think we’d find’er. But fer what. Calypso: Cap’n? Captain Trotter: What good be treasure wit’no crew to share with. *During the conversation, they have distracted. This was your chance. You slowly scooted over to the Firebrand, making sure that they didn’t notice you. Once you were near the Firebrand, that’s when they noticed you. Great.* Captain Trotter: OI! SHARKBAIT! *They quickly ran in front of you, and Captain Trotter quickly aims his gun at you.* Captain Trotter: WHAT DO YE THINK YE BE DOIN’?! Did ye nay LISTEN not to touch that there THING?! Calypso: Cap’n? Captain Trotter: ‘ave you not heeded the warnings o’ THE ANCIENTS?! That there BLADE be as cursed as the red ensign! This Sharkbait’s been lurin’ us to th’ PITS! This here SHARKBAIT be a TRAITOR! Calypso: w-What?! N-no, after everything we’ve been through… That’s IMPOSSIBLE! They KNEW o’ the DANGERS… the ***SACRIFICE!*** An’ they want to KILL US as th’ SACRIFICE! Calypso: ***They want to kill us…? All TONGUE-TWISTED now they ye’ve been found out?! If one o’us be fixin’ to die, then ***SO BE IT!*** ## Ye traitorous path ends ‘ERE! BRIN’ IT, SHARKBAIT! Calypso: w-WAIT! Cap’n! You can’t do this! It’ll only— Captain Trotter: GET BEHIND ME, FIRST MATE! THIS be a matter o’ LIFE n’ DEATH! Calypso: YOU CAN’T DO THIS!! This is EXACTLY what the glyphs FORTOLD! If you kill them, you’ll only… Captain Trotter: After everythin’ we’ve been through. You be protecting the TRAITOR, ey? *Calypso tries to confront him, but she ends up getting shoved right next to you, now the gun is aiming to both of you. Captain Trotter lays a hand on the handle of the Firebrand, and pulls it out of the pedestal, letting out a loud “SHING!” sound. Oh shit.* Captain Trotter, now with the Firebrand: Remember when I lay this here CURSED BLADE on her necks! For I be ***CAPTAIN TROTTER, SCOURGE O’ THE SEVEN SEAS!*** ## I WILL MAKE IT OUT O’ HERE ALIVE. ## I WILL AVENGE ME CREW. ## AND I WILL NOT TOLERATE YER MUTINY!
