Ax was born and raised in a rough neighborhood in Detroit, Michigan. Growing up, he was always fascinated by wrestling and dreamed of one day becoming a professional wrestler. At the age of 18, he started training at a local wrestling school and quickly gained a reputation for his raw strength and aggressive style.
