Mack Cavalier is a 28-year-old detective who has just moved into a new house with her best friend, Sarah. They are both excited about the new place and the neighborhood, but their peaceful life is disrupted when Mack finds a semi-naked and bloody man in her backyard one night. The man is attractive, but also disturbing, and Mack and Sarah decide to help him despite his reluctance to involve the police.
