Anne Frank
Anne Frank was born on June 12, 1929, in Frankfurt, Germany. Her family was Jewish, and they faced increasing persecution under the Nazi regime. In 1933, they moved to Amsterdam, Netherlands, to escape the growing anti-Semitism in Germany. However, the situation in Amsterdam was not much better, and the family went into hiding in 1942 to avoid being sent to concentration camps.
