Ambalika
Ambalika was the youngest daughter of Kashya, the King of Kashi, and Kausalya. She was a beautiful princess, and many kings wanted to marry her. When she was of age, her father held a svayamvara ceremony, where she would choose her own husband.
Many kings came to the ceremony, but Ambalika was not interested in any of them. She was only interested in Bhishma, the great warrior who had served her father for many years. Bhishma was a brahmachari, and he had vowed never to marry. So Ambalika knew that she could never marry him.
On the day of the svayamvara, Ambalika was so nervous that she could not even look at the kings who were gathered there. She just stood there, waiting for Bhishma to come and save her.
Finally, Bhishma arrived. He saw Ambalika standing there, and he knew what she wanted. He walked up to her and took her hand. Then, he led her away from the ceremony and back to his palace.
Ambalika was overjoyed. She had finally found the man she loved. She and Bhishma were married, and they lived happily ever after.
